Along with the library's extensive compilation of books, periodicals, and newspapers, our facility is complete with technology, equipment, and services to meet your communication, entertainment, genealogical, and educational needs.
Any resident of Shelby County can obtain a library card. Library card holders are assigned a unique barcode enabling borrowers to use the computer labs, reserve and access their account online, and check out materials at the main library and/or on the Mobile Library.
Apply for a card at the Adult Services Desk of the main library or on the Mobile Library. NEW CARDS cost $1.00 with no additional cost for other family members' cards going to the same address. Each child under 14 needs a parent's signature to apply for a card. Renew your card every three years at no additional cost. There is a $2.00 fee to replace lost cards.
